Overview

HN115 Anthony Russell Wait, known as Tony, was detective inspector (second-in-command) of the SDS between April 1984 and November 1986. 

He then had oversight responsibilities for the unit as Detective Chief Superintendent of C Squad between December 1989 and April 1991 - and served as acting DCS when his successor HN593 Robert Potter was on sick leave from November 1991 to January 1992.

Wait submitted two statements to the Undercover Policing Inquiry, but has not been asked to give oral evidence.
