Overview

The Irish Freedom Movement was a Revolutionary Communist Party front organisation. Launched in 1982, it campaigned against British rule in Northern Ireland. It was a sucessor to the 'Smash the Prevention of Terrorism Act Campaign'. It wound down in 1994.

It was listed as a main target in the 1982-1985 SDS Annual Reports. It was spied-upon by HN106 'Barry Tompkins', HN19 'Malcolm Shearing' and HN25 'Kevin Douglas' - although it was not a main target for any of them.
