Overview
Inspired by the Stonewall Riots in New York in 1969, the British Gay Liberation Front was founded in 1970 at the London School of Economics. It included both gay men and lesbians, used direct action and was committed to feminism and revolutionary social change.

The GLF was an innovative, influential organisation for gay and queer activist groups in the UK. It was not a central target of the SDS and is barely mentioned in Inquiry disclosure.
SDS undercover HN348 ‘Sandra Davies’ reported on the group, notably on its intervention in the Women’s Liberation Conference of 1971.
