Overview

The Bertrand Russell Peace Foundation, which still exists, was created in 1963 by mathematician and philosopher Bertrand Russell to further the cause of peace, and to assist in the pursuit of freedom and justice.

It was part of a coalition of groups that, in 1966, formed the Vietnam Solidarity Campaign (VSC)  to organise mass protest against the escalating Vietnam war. The group is only mentioned in SDS reporting in connection with the VSC, see Document tab on this profile.
