HN72 was an SDS undercover officer who was deployed for a short period in the late 1980s. In the mid-2000s, he held a managerial position in the SDS. He is considered to have important evidence regarding the spying on Stephen Lawrence's family. 

He has submitted a lengthy witness statement to the Inquiry.
