HN67 'Alan Bond' was an SDS undercover who infiltrated the Socialist Workers Party (SWP) between April 1982 to November 1985, according to the timeline of the Undercover Policing Inquiry.
He admitted he had a sexual relationship in his cover identity, though he denied the claim that he fathered a child.
As Detective Inspector, he came back as a manager of the Special Demonstration Squad, from July 1990 until October 1993.
In 2002, he appeared in the BBC series True Spies as 'Richard' and explained about the Lucozade contamination threat, without giving away the SDS.
HN67 was interviewed by Operation Herne a few times, but did not make a statement, nor did he submit one to the Undercover Policing Inquiry.
He suffered from Parkinsons, and in 2018 the Inquiry considered to take his evidence early because of his deterioting health, it's unlikely this has happened. He has passed away since.
