HN603 Simon Robert Aitken Crawshaw was Deputy Assistant Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police from August 1985 to June 1987. As such he was high up in the hierarchy carrying responsibility for the SDS.

He gave a statement to Operation Herne, but passed away before he could give evidence to the Undercover Policing Inquiry.
