Overview
Hugh Norman Annesley (born 22 June 1939) is a retired British police officer. As Assistant Commissioner from February 1987 until May 1989, he was resposible for the SDS high up in the hierarchy. Annesley left the Metropolitan Police to become Chief Constable of the Royal Ulster Constabulary in June 1989; he retired in November 1996.
It is unclear if he gave a statement to the Undercover Policing Inquiry; he has not been called to give evidence.
