Peter Brodie
Overview

Peter Ewan Brodie (6 May 1914 – 7 September 1989) was a British police officer. He joined the Metropolitan Police in London in 1934 and later the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).  After spells in Ceylon and Scotland, in April 1966, he returned to the Metropolitan Police as Assistant Commissioner 'C', which included oversight for Special Branch. He retired in 1972. 

Between 1967 and retirement, Brodie was involved with preparation for the VSC demonstrations in 1968 and was aware of the setting up and continuation of the Special Demonstration Squad.

As he passed away in 1989, he did not take part in the Undercover Policing Inquiry.
