Overview
HN1839/TN0047 David Palmer-Hall joined the Metropolitan Police in 1950 and Special Branch in 1952, becoming superintendent of S Squad, where he had oversight of the SDS until he retired in 1980.
In 1990, Palmer-Hall made news headlines, having briefly gone missing while out for a jog – a matter MP George Galloway raised in the House of Commons. Palmer-Hall is referred to as both HN1839 and TN0047 in Inquiry documents.
